Musical Delights: Emarosa

The recent release of Emarosa's new self titled album = intense feelings of sheer happiness from yours truly. The soulful voice of frontman Jonny Craig is the cherry on top of an amazing band. Their album Relativity was epically heart wrenching and I can only hope the new album is just as promising. Emarosa is my favorite post-hardcore band so I may be a little biased but if you're into a little emo rock every now and then I say check them out. You just may fall in love.

VA Fashion Week

This year's VA Fashion Week will be held November 7-14th featuring designers Cecilia Perez, Lili Forest and Deviations, Mathew Casche and more. Does the state of Virginia have what it takes to succeed at having it's own flourishing fashion week you ask? Well, this isn't the first year Virginians have taken on such an undertaking. The state of lovers has had many a fashionistas go on to create Richmond Fashion Week (as I've previously blogged about) and Nova Fashion Week, as well as Virginia Fashion Week. Call me overly optimistic but I'm 100% in support and hoping for a huge success. I will most definitely keep you all informed! In the meantime, visit www.VAfashionweek.net for more information.

Vive Le Skinny Leg!

According to WWD, the streets of Paris are less filled with skinny leg silhouettes these days and more so filled with drop crotch pants and baggy jeans. Oh say it aint so! I'm not saying I couldn't use a break from the silhouette that has become my day-to-day uniform of late, but I'm not ready to give up my skinny jeans yet. Vive le skinny leg!

This American noise rock band is my new fav artist of the week! Their latest album "Disco2" remixes tracks from their previous album "Get Color".
