The Model Citizen fashion show is coming up this Saturday! This is not your typical fashion show. The show is centered more around entertainment then pure runway. Tickets are only $7. Doors open at 8 and the show starts at 9pm, with a dance party following immediately after! DJ Doodie and DJ Rayvon will be spinning. Don't miss out...The show is going to be awesome!

It's official! After the revival of Richmond Fashion Week in 2009 the original teams of stylists and coordinators are doing it again. Promising larger venues, more boutiques, more community involvement, and more viewership. RVA Fashion week showcases the latest fashion and trends going on by independent designers from Richmond, VA.

Rockstar Rated is a new Richmond social site that hosts pictures of RVA's party scene at local hot spots such as Tobacco Company and Cha Cha's Cantina. The site has photographers spread throughout the city taking pictures. Rockstar rated, is the interactive site, offering photo galleries for Richmond bars & nightclubs as well as an event calendar for upcoming events. Their goal? To provide users with various forms of media to recapture the fun and excitment Richmond nightlife has to offer. It's like paparazzii for the average joe, featuring RVA's finest to the not so fabulous...I guess I fall somewhere in between.

Gallery5 presents...MODEL CITIZEN

March 5th and 6th, Gallery5 will be hosting a two-day event showcasing Richmond fashion with runway shows, exhibition openings and local music, as well as a designer spotlight!...It's events like this that make me proud to be an RVA native.

R.I.P Alexander McQueen

As most of the world now knows, legendary fashion designer Alexander McQueen committed suicide last week...This is a major blow to the fashion industry and I feel respect must be paid. McQueen was one of my favorite designers. He delivered true artwork and his innovations will continue to inspire designers for years to come. He will truly be missed. R.I.P
