One Outfit At A Time
It's been a long time, too long, since I've blogged here at Mademoiselle RVA. This hault in blogging has not been a result of me no longer blogging, but rather I started a new blog, One Outfit At A Time. Looking back on all Mademoiselle RVA's past posts, I think I did a pretty good job at growing here. Yet, as my life began to transition post college, I felt I couldn't blog only about life in Richmond anymore. I'm currently exploring my options in NYC. And while I haven't officially left Richmond yet, I want to cast my net wider to focus on topics for all. So please, check out One Outfit At A Time for any of those that still stumble across this blog from time to time. It's not quite as Richmond based, but it's more or less the same featuring outfits, inspiration, photography, and opinion. There are also a few new sections such as "Blogger Crush" where I have Q&A's with top fashion bloggers and "O.O.A.T Loves" where I feature my new findings in music, film, and fashion. So thanks again, for anybody that ever read, enjoyed, and/or supported Mademoiselle RVA. I hope to represent RVA even bigger and better at O.O.A.T.

Cool Effects
It may not be professional editing software, but I'm in love with ToyCamera Analogcolor. I took this shot from a previous post and tweaked it a bit. It's super easy to work with and includes some interesting effects.

Summer Neutrals
Here are a few behind the scenes shots taken from my CBS 6 Fashion Segment! I had a blast putting everythng together. While many people go for bolder colors or travel inspired looks I wanted to keep it simple by utilizing a neutral color palette (and perhaps I'm a bit biased because I just love neutrals anyway). Summer neutrals are definitely the best way to go if you're working on building up a new wardrobe for the season. I fuond some great looks from Pink, Need Supply Co, Bliss at 5812, Thief and Bandit, and Quirk Gallery.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, to Jessica Simpson (yes, that's really her name) for styling the hair, Charlene Easter, owner of Epiphany Beauty, for doing make-up, and my amazing models Natalie, Ameera, and Katy! Everyone was fantastic.

Time for a Change
Every once in a while you get that feeling that it's time for a change. Life gets stale, you're at a cross roads, and what better way to bring about a change in attitude then with a wardrobe change? I'm working on building up front the bottom this time with basic wardrobe staples that easily mix and match. This light pink blazer from Thread Sence is first on my list of build-up pieces.

RVA Style on MTV!!! I've gotta say, I don't watch MTV too much anymore, but this is still pretty sweet! Congrats to the ladies of Rumors for helping put together this awesome video.

Traveling Musician
Just a few shots from my last photo assignment at VMFA. The assignment was portraiture so i decided to try to get some shots of a "traveling musician." Unfortunately I didn't have as much time to prepare styling, specific shot ideas, and all that's entailed in shoots. As usual I took a lot of photos in various locations. But I ended up loving these because of the lens flare. Special thanks to Katy for modeling. She's an aspiring singer/songwriter as well so the theme meshed nicely.
