Traveling Musician

Just a few shots from my last photo assignment at VMFA. The assignment was portraiture so i decided to try to get some shots of a "traveling musician." Unfortunately I didn't have as much time to prepare styling, specific shot ideas, and all that's entailed in shoots. As usual I took a lot of photos in various locations. But I ended up loving these because of the lens flare. Special thanks to Katy for modeling. She's an aspiring singer/songwriter as well so the theme meshed nicely.

RFW 2011 Rewind: Uncorked at The Wine Loft

So as I was a fashion assistant this year for RVA Fashion Week, I didn't take my camera to any of the events for fear I would be too busy (which I was!). Now that the behind the scenes frenzy of RVA Fashion Week is over, I'd like to take the time to reflect on the week's events. The official RVA Fashion Week photographer, KC Johnson, took some amaaazing photos. I'll be posting a few of my favorites over the next few days for anyone who hasn't seen the footage.

Richmond After Dark

As part of a photo assignment for my digital photography class, we were prompted to take photos at night. So I decided to venture out into Richmond after dark and take a few photos of my beloved city. I was hoping to get my own shot of the RVA skyline, however I'm not gonna lie, my friend and I chickened out once we got to the flood wall après daylight hours. Instead we decided to shoot from the Manchester Bridge. The shots of the Main Street train station are from a parking deck.
