My latest love is Scattered Trees, a Chicago based band I came accross. "Love and Leave" and "A Conversation About Death on New Year's" are singles from their debut album Symphony. Inspired in large part by the passing of lead singer Nate Eiesland's father, Sympphony is a deeply heartfelt conglomerate of mutli-part harmonies and dynamic builds. This is defiitely the kind of music to get you through.
